A dispute between two bodies representing accountants was adjourned at the High Court yesterday. The action by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) against the Institute of Incorporated Public Accountants (IIPA) was put back to October 12th.
The case was adjourned after a number of undertakings were given to the court on behalf of the IIPA.
These include not infringing the ACCA's copyright in the plaintiff's bye-laws and regulations pending the trial of the action or further order of the court.
The IIPA also undertook not to distribute or disseminate any regulations or bye-laws which reproduce in whole or in part any of the ACCA's regulations or bye-laws.
