Aer Arran has announced that it has taken over the operation of the Sligo-Dublin air service, with effect from December 10th 1999, from Aer Lingus. It is promising a twice-daily service, allowing customers to link into flights to and from international destinations served from Dublin. Aer Arran currently flies the Donegal to Dublin route, and since 1970 has been flying to the Aran Islands. It also operates a Dublin to Isle of Man service of behalf of Manx Airlines, as well as charter and freight operations.
