Andersen Consulting has appointed Mr Sean Shine and Mr Frank O'Dea as partners in its Dublin practice. Mr Shine has more than 10 years experience in professional consulting and is worldwide head of Andersen Consulting's Revenue Industry Group.
Mr O'Dea is a specialist in process re-engineering and information technology and works in the company's electronics and high-tech European sector.
Ocean, the communications business of the ESB and British Telecom has made three senior appointments.
Mr Peter Taylor has been appointed sales and marketing director, after leaving a position as manager of sales and business development at SSE Ltd.
Mr John McDowell becomes director of customer services. He has extensive experience with British Telecom.
Mr Phil Ranner has been appointed director of networks and systems. Before joining Ocean he was country engineering manager for Germany and Holland for British Telecom.
Mr Brian Bennett has been appointed general manager of a new division of Esat Telecom, Open Access Services. Mr Bennett was previously managing director of Compress, a plastics engineering company.
Mr Ray Byrne becomes business development manager of the same division. He is joining from ITG where he held the position of executive sales manager in the payphone section.
The new division will offer a range of pre-paid public access telecommunications services.
Sutcliffe Catering Services has appointed Mr Mike Malloy as sales director for the Republic and Northern Ireland. Mr Malloy was formerly general manager for sales at Sutcliffe Catering's City of London division. Prior to this he was catering manager for the London, Paris and Milan offices of Goldman Sachs.
Ms Michele Martin has been appointed director of operations with Executive Connections, the specialist banking and finance recruiter. She has been with the company for three years.
Ms Denise Charlton has been appointed director of Women's Aid, the group which campaigns against domestic violence.
She has worked previously with Heneghan Public Relations and with Grayling Communications in London. Ms Charlton has managed the communications strategy of Women's Aid for the last six years.
Mr Edmund McBride becomes chief operations officer at Millennium Solutions, the supplier of Year 2000 and EMU solution software. Mr McBride joins from United Distillers & Vintners where he worked as a senior manager.
Mr Alan Neild-Crabb becomes president of sales and marketing at the company. His role will be to develop and implement sales and marketing strategy.
Mr Maurice O'Connor is the new chief financial officer at the company. He worked for 12 years with technology companies in Britain.
Associated Marketing has appointed Ms Amanda Doyle as product manager with responsibility for its contract floor covering products in the Republic.
Ms Doyle joins from Biojen International where she worked for several years as product manager and technical representative.
Collins McNicholas has appointed Mr Niall Murray as manager of its new north-west regional office based in Sligo.
Mr Michael Murray becomes a senior broker consultant with Commercial General Union Life at its Galway branch.
