Google’s Android operating system is making gains on Research In Motion’s BlackBerry and Apple’s iPhone in the US smartphone market, according to ComScore, a company that monitors the technology sector.
Google increased its market share by four percentage points to 13 per cent in the three months ended in May, ComScore said yesterday. RIM’s BlackBerry fell less than one point to 41.7 per cent, remaining the market leader. Apple was second, down one point to 24.4 per cent. Google ranked fourth. – (Bloomberg)
