Network, the organisation for women in business, is holding its annual conference this weekend in Killarney. Participants will meet tomorrow evening for dinner followed by a fashion show. The conference will be officially opened by the Kerry Group managing director, Mr Denis Brosnan, on Saturday morning.

Bank of Ireland's chief economist, Mr Jim Power, will address the conference on the impact of European Monetary Union on women in business. The vice-president for strategic purchasing and planning at the US group, Bausch and Lomb International, Ms Almarie Falbo, will discuss how business opportunities can be maximised in global markets. Other speakers include the author, Ms Carole Hyatt, and the managing director of the Galway-based Judy Greene Pottery company, Ms Judy Greene.
