Ansbacher Cayman is seeking the permission of the Cayman courts to give the High Court inspectors documents which "may reasonably be deemed necessary to establish the identity of the Irish-resident persons who are or were clients of the bank, and to describe the nature of the client relationship", writes Colm Keena in George Town, Cayman Islands.
The bank wants to give this material in relation to anyone who "maintains or has maintained an account with the bank", anyone who "is or was a beneficial owner of shares or a company which maintains or has maintained an account with the bank or is or was administered by the bank", or anyone who is the "settlor of any trust of which the bank is or was trustee".
