Sandwiched between France and Spain, the small principality of Andorra is probably the cheapest ski resort to get to, and undoubtedly the cheapest place to stay. The country's duty free status makes apres-ski not such a burden on the pocket. A pint will cost you about £1, a bottle of whisky £4 and 200 cigarettes less than £8. However, a lift pass, and boot, ski and stick hire, will add about £100 to the cost of the trip, with a further £50 charge for skiing instructions.
