ACCBank has introduced a nine-month fixed rate deposit that returns interest at a premium to the corresponding euribor rate. The rate is 5.3 per cent compound annual return gross for sums over £5,000.

The bank believes that the facility will be attractive to investors who want a competitive return but do not wish to lock in their funds for a long period because they anticipate further increases in interest rates.
