Black & Decker's newly established European shared services centre in Cork has chosen a Wexford company, morris IT systems, to implement its electronic document management service. The centre provides centralised accounting and financial services to the European Group, including preparation of final accounts, transaction processing, supplier payments as well as treasury and cash management - morris IT organises regular collection of documents from Black & Decker which it then scans, places in an index and stores for Black & Decker employees to remotely retrieve over high-speed communications links.
