The longest-running legal action in the history of the State is set to last even longer. An appeal in the row over the Bula zinc mine near Navan, Co Meath, was due to open in the Supreme Court on Monday next and was expected to last several days.

However, at that court yesterday, the hearing of the appeal was put off for three weeks because of a change of solicitors on the Bula side.
