As Europe hardens its policies on immigration and asylum-seeking, what impact will this have our economy? Agenda (Sunday, noon, TV3) asks Jeremy Harding, author of The Uninvited: Refugees at the Rich Man's Gate and editor of the London Review of Books.

The programme also asks if a small tax on currency speculation could stabilise economies.

It's official: Britain's clubs are cool - and very big business. The Money Programme - Big Business Beats (Wednesday, 7.30 p.m., BBC2) looks at dance, which is fast becoming the largest youth market in history, eclipsing rock 'n' roll, punk, and virtually every other music wave of the past half-century. The industry is now worth an estimated £2 billion sterling (#3.15 billion) to the UK economy, and since nearly half of all 18- to 24-year-olds go clubbing, it's a huge and rapidly-expanding market.

Winds of Change (Thursday, 10.45 p.m., RTE1) is a new six-part documentary series on business. It is presented by economics editor George Lee and, in this first programme, he talks to Mr Maurice O'Connell, Governor of the Central Bank. There will also be contributions from Mr Jean Claude Trichet, Governor of the Central Banque de France, and Mr Wim Duisenberg, head of the European Central Bank.
