The Minister for Public Enterprise, Ms O'Rourke is to outline a timetable to the Cabinet next Tuesday for the proposed sale of Telecom Eireann's stake in Cablelink, the piped television provider.

It is understood that the Minister will press for the sale of Telecom's stake, as soon as possible. Various estimates put the value of the stake at between £150 million and £200 million.

A number of cable companies are expected to express interest in the stake.
