CBT Systems, the Irish educational software company, yesterday announced a strategic agreement with a leading multimedia technology firm to make its software more attractive to Internet and intranet users.

The deal will see CBT integrate "RealSystem G2" products designed by RealNetworks to deliver its most popular desktop and professional development training titles over the Internet and corporate intranets, creating "a complete, rich education and training environment" that can be accessed by users anywhere in the world at any time, the company said.

"RealSystem G2 can combine state-of-the-art streaming audio and video with a complete set of multimedia data types such as streaming text, images and slides to provide a whole new class of training programming," CBT said.
