Industrial LandsAn industrial development opportunity on the north edge of Ashford in Co Wicklow has come to the market through agent HT Meagher O'Reilly.
The lands will be sold by public tender and, according to Evan Lonergan of HT Meagher O'Reilly, they are guiding over €850,000 per acre which equates to around €21 million for the entire. The tender date has been set at October 18th unless previously sold. The site, fronting on to the Ashford bypass, comprises 24.5 acres of industrially zoned development land. It has access from the N11 and 375 metres of profile to the dual-carriageway.
The lands are zoned for employment uses under the current Wicklow county development plan which allows for a variety of uses, including industrial, transport, distribution, warehousing or retail warehouse developments.
Ashford is 10 minutes south of Bray and is around 15 minutes drive from the southern leg of the M50. Other major population centres within easy reach are Greystones, Wicklow town and Arklow which, together with south Dublin, equates to a catchment area of around a million people within a 50-minute drive of the lands.
The redevelopment of south Dublin's more traditional industrial areas has seen considerable pressures on the supply of quality industrial facilities in the north Wicklow area. This has been evident with the construction of industrial schemes in Wicklow, Newtownmountkennedy, Rathnew, and Kilcoole.
