More than 100 acres with its own deep water jetty and rail link at Marino Point in Cobh, Co Cork, has come on the market with a guide price of €50 million through DTZ Sherry FitzGerald in Cork.
The agency is inviting proposals for all or part of the large facility which was previously used by ICI for the manufacture of fertilisers.
Apart from its overall development potential, Frank Ryan of DTZ says there are also interesting lots, such as commercial compounds, workshops, bulk warehousing, offices and liquid storage tanks.
He says the site has obvious potential for a single large industrial use or as a single managed facility for importing and exporting merchandise.
Alternatively, companies may be interested in leasing large units of accommodation.
DTZ is inviting expressions of interest by March 6th.
