A KEY SITE for a ready-to-go shopping centre and residential scheme in the heart of Wicklow town is to be offered for sale by private treaty through Dooley Poynton Commercial. Eugene Dooley of the agency is quoting a guide price of €8 million for the site of 0.61 of an acre which has full planning permission for about 3,716sq m (40,000sq ft) of shopping facilities, 48 car-parking spaces and nine apartments.
The site does not have any obligations under Section 96 of the Planning and Development Act. The planning permission provides for a scheme on the lines of Powerscourt Townhouse Centre in Dublin. Ulster Bank is to open a new branch this autumn on the opposite side of Main Street. The post office is also close by.
