Development LandAn 80-acre farm adjoining Bracetown Business Park on the Meath-Dublin border - between Dunboyne and Clonee - has come on the market with a guide price of over €70,000 per acre.
Susan Kirk of Coonan Real Estate Alliance said they were confident of strong interest in the farm which, although not yet zoned for development, would inevitably be built on in the medium term.
Around 16 acres immediately adjoining the business park are expected to be rezoned for a commercial development in the short term while the remainder of the land might take a little longer to be rezoned, she said.
The land is in an area undergoing major changes because of the adjoining road network - it is just off the N3 - and the fact that it was less than 25 minutes from the city centre. The land is also close to the line of the proposed Dublin-Dunboyne-Navan railway line.
Both Dunboyne and Clonee have undergone major changes in recently years with hundreds of new houses and many businesses relocating to both towns.
The farm goes for sale by tender on November 22nd.
