PropertyAwards: It's been another bumper year for property advertising as both the commercial and the residential markets continue to thrive.
Estate agents in both sectors say there has been an unprecedented level of enquiries for residential and commercial investments as well as for homes in all price brackets.
The ever-increasing competition in both markets has seen major improvements in the area of property advertising with agents vying with each other to produce ever more inventive and attractive advertising and sales brochures.
The rapid strides will be recognized by The Irish Times this autumn when the newspaper again hosts its annual Property Advertising Awards.
Last year's event attracted a bumper entry from all the leading agencies, and this year the indications are that competition will be even more intense.
Awards will be made in a number of categories.
These include: new homes development; resale residential property; overseas residential property; retail property; office development; leisure properties (pubs, hotels, leisure centres); industrial/warehouse property; development land; property financing; fine art and corporate advertising.
The awards are open to any organisation placing a print property advertisement in any national, regional or trade publication in Ireland, between August 1st, 2004 and August 1st, 2005.
Judging will be carried out by a jury made up of members nominated by each of the seven organisations, The Irish Times, Irish Auctioneers & Valuers Institute (IAVI); Institute of Professional Auctioneers & Valuers (IPAV); Construction Industry Federation; Institute of Creative Advertising and Design (ICAD); and the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCS). The winners will be announced at a lunch in Dublin this September.
