Another long-time fashion trader has moved off Dublin's O'Connell Street and will continue to concentrate on its outlets in the various shopping centres. Best menswear which had been trading in the high profile premises at the junction of O'Connell Street and North Earl Street for over half a century has leased the building to the bus tour operator Paddy Wagon.

The new tenant is to pay a rent of €85,000 per annum for the four-storey over basement premises.

The retailer continues to have an outlet in Clery’s as well as in St Stephen’s Green shopping centre, and out of town in Dundrum, Blanchardstown, Swords, North City and Liffey Valley.

Stephen McCarthy of Savills handled the letting of the O’Connell Street premises.
