Dunboyne Business Park, an office and warehouse facility close to the Meath/Dublin border, goes for sale from today at €3.75 million through the Lisney agency. The mixed-use park is producing a rent roll of €411,800 from five detached blocks extending to 7,541sq m (81,174sq ft). The vacancy rate is around 20 per cent.

The largest rent of €100,000 is being paid by the multinational chemical company Scott Bader who occupy 1,114sq m (12,000sq ft) under a five-year lease from 2002. The water cooler company Wild About Water is paying €56,000 for 1,867sq m (20,100sq ft). The other tenants include Meath Vocational Education Committee, Meda, Kidology Houghton Oil, Puratos, HE Engineering, SPX and K9 Dog Food.

Dunboyne, 18km from Dublin city, has a top class road system as well as a park and ride railway station between the town and the M3. Locals have been slow to switch to the rail service even though it provides 1,200 free parking spaces.

Close by near Clonee, Facebook is developing two of three planned buildings at its new €200 million data centre. The first two buildings will extend to 57,690sq m – eight times the size of the Aviva Stadium.
