Perfume shop to open in St Stephen's Green

The Perfume Shop, the UK's largest specialist fragrance retailer, is to open a new store shortly at the St Stephen's Green shopping centre in Dublin 2. The trader will be paying a rent of €105,000 per annum for a unit of 34sq m (366sq ft) on the ground floor.

The letting has come at the same time as Carroll's Gifts has leased a ground floor shop of 200sq m (2,153sq ft) at a rent rising to €275,000. Stephen Murray of Jones Lang LaSalle handled the lettings.

Pixels camera shop to rent on South Anne Street for €175,000

Irish-owned camera retailer Pixels is to open a new outlet at 34 South Anne Street, Dublin 2. It will be the company's third branch. The rent of €175,000 equates to a Zone A rate of €4,305 per sq m (€400 per sq ft), about half the level on Grafton Street. Pixels is only one shop front away from Grafton Street. Eoin Feeney of HWBC represented the landlords, IBI Property Nominees.

HWBC has also secured over €10.5 million from the sale of three former ACC bank branches in Letterkenny, Clonmel and Drogheda.The buildings at Upper Main Street, Letterkenny, and Gladstone Street, Clonmel, sold for €2.75 million and €4.3 million respectively while 112 West Street in Drogheda made €3.45 million.

Hillyer appointed European investment adviser by HWBC

HWBC chartered surveyors has announced the appointment of Jonathan Hillyer as an investment adviser in the western European markets. He previously worked for Colliers Jackson Stops and had been involved in a number of large investment transactions, representing clients such as Quinlan Private, CF and Markland Holdings.

Penthouse in IFSC to rent

An office suite on the penthouse of a four-storey building in Dublin's IFSC is available to rent on a short lease through Jones Lang LaSalle. A rent of €485 per sq m (€45 per sq ft) is sought for the unit of 480sq m (5,166sq ft) which is in "walk in" condition.

€1m for Little Sicily building

Agent Conor Ó Cléirigh & Co has a disclosed reserve price of €1 million for a retail building at 13 Parliament Street in Dublin's Temple Bar area which goes to auction on December 13th. The five-storey over basement building is let to Little Sicily restaurant at a rent of €28,575 per annum.
