Bank branch makes 1.65m
ACC has secured €1.65 million at auction for its former bank branch at 41 South Mall in Cork. The joint agents HWBC and Keane Mahony Smith said they were extremely pleased with the result in the present market. They had been quoting an AMV of €1.75 million. Eight other ACC branches are also for sale in Munster and Leinster.
2m for nursing home
Savills is seeking €2 million for an unoccupied former nursing home on Convent Lane off Grange Road in Rathfarnham, Dublin 14.
The three-storey cut-stone building with 29 bedrooms originally formed part of Loreto Abbey and is a protected structure. It is linked to a modern three-storey building with a floor area of 1,532sq m (16,500sq ft). The property stands on a site of 0.89 of an acre.
The same agent is asking €1.5 million for a site of 1.27 hectares (3.15 acres) at Hearse Road beside Newbridge Avenue in Donabate, Co Dublin. The zoning would allow for a low density housing development or a nursing home.
D16 creche leased
Ellier Developments has leased a new crèche at the Dalriada housing scheme at Knocklyon, Dublin 16.
The facility is to be operated by Chuckleberries which has been in business for 10 years.
Agent Browne Corrigan is understood to have been seeking a rent of around €90,000 for the crèche which has a floor area of 400sq m (4,306sq ft) and outside play areas.
Ellier has built almost 1,400 homes in the Knocklyon area in recent years.
