AGENT DTZ Sherry FitzGerald is handling the sale of two industrial buildings at Tallaght in south Dublin and Portarlington, Co Laois, on behalf of liquidators.
Brendan Smyth of the agency says both buildings are extremely good value, with the one in Tallaght working out at €750 per sq m and the Portarlington property being marketed at €430 per sq m.
A price of €900,000 is being sought for a building of 1,199sq m (12,906sq ft) including 552sq m (5,941sq ft) of offices at 6A Broomhill Business Complex in Dublin 24. The agent says that the price sought would just about cover the construction costs but not the site.
In Portarlington, a price of €2.5 million is being quoted for a building of 5,548sq m (59,718sq ft)including 740sq m (7,965sq ft) of offices.
If a buyer does not emerge, the agent plans to let the building at €37 per sq m (€3.59 per sq ft). The twin bay industrial building covers only 27 per cent of the site which extends to 2.06 hectares (5.1 acres).
The property is located on the edge of Portarlington and within easy reach of the M7.
