RecruitmentPat Dalton has been appointed as the Menolly Group's chief financial officer (CFO). Dalton was the CFO of Bord Gáis since August 2002. Prior to that, he was CFO of the Amsterdam-based AirFinance group. Dalton is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and is also a member of the Irish Institute of Taxation.
Meanwhile, Brendan O'Byrne has been appointed as group director with the Menolly Group. For the last seven years he has been the group's senior financial controller and has contributed largely to the group's rapid expansion. As director he will play an active role in the development of ancillary businesses of the Menolly Group. Prior to working for the Menolly Group, O'Byrne ran his own accountancy practice.
The Menolly Group has expanded from its mainstream business, which is property and property development in Ireland, into the leisure, manufacturing and international property investment.
Seamus Ross Jnr, who has headed up the diversification of the group as well as taking an active part in the Irish activities, says that "these appointments have been made to enable further growth of the group's companies in Ireland and Europe".
Menolly recently completed the purchase of a large site in Warsaw. John Geoghegan, operations manager in Poland, is negotiating on two other large sites where Menolly hope to expand.
Andrzej Kryk was recently appointed director of construction in Menolly's Polish group.
