Businessman Seán Quinn has denied he was the chief orchestrator of various alleged steps by his family to put multi-million euro property assets of Quinn companies beyond the reach of the former Anglo Irish Bank.
Mr Quinn also said he "resented greatly" claims by the bank - now Irish Bank Resolution Corporation - that he had breached court orders of June and July 2011 restraining any steps by his family to strip assets from their international property group.
He was re-examined today by his counsel Bill Shipsey SC in the hearing before Ms Justice Elizabeth Dunne for attachment and committal orders against Mr Quinn, his son Seán and newphew Peter Darragh Quinn for alleged contempt of the 2011 orders.
All three have denied contempt in their affidavits and in evidence to the court. They have said certain measures were taken to put assets beyond Anglo's reach but deny any such steps were taken afetr the court orders were made.
Mr Quinn's re-examination concluded today and the court has been told the Quinn side will not be conducting any cross-examination of IBRC about affidavits sworn on its behalf.
Ms Justice Dunne has adjourned the case to Thursday next to allow lawyers for both sides file written submissions on legal issues. The sides will then make oral submisisons which are expected to conclude on Friday next after which it is expected the judge will reserve her ruling.
