Residential LandFifty acres of land, right, less than a mile from the centre of Tralee, Co Kerry, have sold for a record €17 million.

It is understood to be the largest ever land sale in Co Kerry according to Donal O'Connell, managing director of Sherry FitzGerald O'Connell, which handled the sale.

The land, at Mounthawk, is zoned residential, and was bought by Letter Gorman Holdings Ltd, a company associated with Carrigaline-based housebuilders Ruden Homes. The vendor was local farmer Pat Murphy.
