Telecom Eireann and Compustore have entered into a partnership agreement offering a "store in store" concept.
The scheme, whereby there will be a branded Compustore in telecentres and a telecentre in Compustores, is being launched in Dublin retail outfits.
From October customers will be able to go into either outlet and buy a computer as well as order an additional telephone line.
Telecom has also recently signed an agreement with Irish Permanent to offer a finance package, with finance available from 12.9 per cent. Compustore's partner is Premier Banking.
Telecom is also in the process of extending its number of telecentres to 38.
Two stores are already signed up in Clonmel and Wexford and will be up and running between early October and the end of December of this year.
