Advanced Internet and multimedia technologies will be explored at a conference in Galway next week. Delegates attending the event, which is sponsored by Massana, Silicon and Software Systems, Silicon Systems Limited and Toucan Technology, will come from third-level institutions in Ireland, Britain and Europe. Organised by NUI Galway's Electronic Engineering Department, 60 papers will be presented on topics covering hardware and software for multimedia applications, high-speed communications technologies for the Internet, as well as biomedical engineering, control of industrial processes and machine vision.
