Nintendo Co, the world’s biggest maker of video-game consoles, plans to begin selling the next version of the motion-sensing Wii next year after forecasting earnings that missed analysts’ estimates.
The company forecast net income will rise 42 pe rcent to $1.3 billion (€892 million) in the 12 months to March 2012, missing the $1.76 billion average of nine analysts’ estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
The projection doesn’t include sales of the new Wii, which will be shown at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles in June.
