Mr Pat Kenny has been elected as the new managing partner at accountants Deloitte & Touche.

Mr Kenny, who is the firm's national tax partner, will take up his appointment on January 1st, 2000. He succeeds Mr Paul Carty, who served as managing partner for two terms and was not eligible to stand for re-election. He will continue in the firm as a senior partner.
