Galway Regional Airport has expressed its disappointment at Air Kilroe's decision to withdraw its Galway-Manchester service from next Friday.

Ms Mary Hurney, the airport's general manager, described the move as a temporary set-back to its development. She said staff levels had been increased recently and, last Friday, a £30,000 automated security check was installed to improve passenger convenience at departure.
