Irish people can now purchase a domain name with an .irl.com suffix from Irish company, Business Media Ireland. The company said that IRL is a recognised abbreviation for Ireland and gives a geographical context to Irish domain names, even to those which are not Internet oriented.

Domain names can be purchased online at www.domains.irl.com by credit card and will be active 12 hours after purchase.
