Zed Gum, the young Dublin bubble-gum manufacturer, has acquired the much larger Leaf Ireland ball gum and freeze pop manufacturer, from its Dutch parent, CSM. The price has not been disclosed because of a confidentiality agreement. Zed Gum, which was set up in 1999, employs 35 people in Blanchardstown, while Leaf, which has been operating in Ireland since 1959, employs 115 people in Kilcock, Co Kildare.
