Dunnes Stores opened a new shop in Malaga yesterday, bringing to three the number of its stores in Spain. The 24,000 sq ft shop in a shopping centre close to the centre of the town sells the full range range of Dunnes Stores' clothes and homeware, but not food. It employs some 80 people.

"The new development is a further step in the expansion of Dunnes Stores in its existing overseas market, and follows the opening of a new store in Northampton, England, earlier this month, which is trading very successfully," a spokesman for the company said.
