InvestmentAn environmental engineering company in Co Tyrone plans to nearly double its workforce by creating 70 additional jobs as part of a £2.3 million investment project.
TES (NI) specialises in water treatment, water recycling, power conservation and distribution services. The company, which currently employs 75 people, is based in Cookstown, but operates in the Republic, the UK, the Middle East and Australia.
Brian Taylor, a founder and managing director, said TES NI had worked hard to build up relationships with large water companies, and it now had the opportunity to turn “prospects into sales”.
Invest NI has offered £420,000 in financial support. Minister of Enterprise Arlene Foster said the support would help the company achieve its target of doubling turnover in the next three years.
The Minister said: “TES has grown from small beginnings in the water treatment sector to a position where it is now acting as the lead contractor on major projects.
“Its success has been driven by a focus on exports and on product diversification, which has resulted in a substantial increase in sales.”
