BMA, the Carlow-based engineering consultancy has been restructured into four new divisions, BMA GeoEngineering, BMA GeoServices, BMA International and The National Materials Testing Laboratory.

The split will allow the company to take a more focused approach in offering its services to the Irish construction industry, according to Mr Bernard Murphy, the company chairman.

The company, which employs 50 people in Carlow and Dublin and has a turnover of £2 million is also expanding into the mining industry with the creation of a Natural Resources Engineering group within BMA Geoservices.
