Examiner board members resign

Examiner Publications, publishers of the Irish Examiner and Evening Echo, has announced pre-tax profits of £6

Examiner Publications, publishers of the Irish Examiner and Evening Echo, has announced pre-tax profits of £6.04 million (P7.67 million) for 2000, a 10.6 per cent increase on the previous year.

As part of restructuring at the group, shareholders Mr Ted Crosbie and Mr George Crosbie announced their resignation from the board of Examiner Publications. Mr Michael O'Mahony and Mr Barry Woods have also resigned. All four will remain as directors of parent company Thomas Crosbie Holdings Limited.

Mr Padraig Mallon, who will take over as chief executive next week, was elected to the board of Examiner Publications.
