Gandon Enterprises, Ireland's chief employer of people with disabilities, is seeking the go-ahead for an expansion plan which it says would result in a doubling of its workforce within five years. The company's plans are currently under Government review and a decision on their future is expected in approximately a fortnight. Gandon, part of the Rehab Group, has an annual turnover of £9 million, and 350 employees in seven commercial ventures.
The review comes three years after the company was set up under the Rehab Group banner as part of a Government-backed pilot scheme to provide employment for disabled people.
