Exports to non-EU countries fell in February but were still significantly higher than last year.
Irish exports to non-EU states dropped to £2.27 billion (€2.88 billion) in February from £2.6 billion in January. At the same time, imports rose to £1.53 billion from £1.47 billion. However, on an unadjusted basis, exports were 29 per cent higher than in February 2000 at £2.2 billion, while imports were 19 per cent higher at £1.41 billion.
