Workers in Falcon/JWT Holidays and First Choice Travel shops in Ireland could become the latest casualties in the downturn in the tourist industry following the terrorist attacks on the US.
The move follows a decision by UK parent company First Choice Holidays Plc to implement restructuring which aims to achieve annualised cost savings of £20 million. The attacks on the US resulted in costs of £10 million across the business for the period to October 31st, 2001, the company said.
