Farmers planning to computerise their businesses can look forward to more user friendly software solutions. Progressive Genetics, the independent farmer-owned cattle breeding society, has taken a majority shareholding in Irish Farm Computers (IFC), a provider of integrated farm management software to farmers.

IFC, based in Kells, Co Meath, launched its first farm management software two years ago.

Since then it has established itself as one of the leaders in the Irish market.
