Bank of Ireland appoints two non-executive directors to board

Bank of Ireland has appointed Patrick Mulvihill and Pat Butler as non-executive directors, the bank has said.

Bank of Ireland has appointed Patrick Mulvihill and Pat Butler as non-executive directors, the bank has said.

Mr Mulvihill retired from Goldman Sachs in 2006, where he filled the role of global head of operations. He sat on the firm’s risk, finance and credit policy committees and is a non-executive director of Goldman Sachs Bank (Europe) Plc. He will join the BofI risk and audit committees.

Mr Butler will join the bank’s risk and governance committee. He is a partner in financial services investment firm Resolution Group and was a senior director of McKinsey Company.

Non-executive directors John O’Donovan and Rose Hynes said they will retire at the end of the year while Jerome Kennedy will step down after the next annual general meeting.
