The Central Bank has issued a warning about a firm operating without its authorisation in Ireland.

Shartz Commercial Bank is not authorised by the Central Bank to provide any financial services, joining a list of 209 firms that have had their names published regulators.

It is a criminal offence to offer financial services without authorisation from the bank. Consumers who deal with such firms are ineligible for compensation from the Investor Compensation Scheme.
