The Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement is to apply to the High Court next Thursday seeking a 10th court order to retain records seized from Anglo Irish Bank for its investigation into events around the bank’s failure.
The investigation by corporate enforcer Paul Appleby into the bank is entering its fourth year. Mr Appleby must secure court permission to retain several million electronic records and files at Anglo.
The court has granted his office permission nine times to seize and retain records for months at a time.
