Prominent French businessmen Mr Albert Frere and Mr Bernard Arnault have got together to buy Chateau Cheval Blanc, one of the very finest vineyards in France's prestigious Bordeaux wine region. Mr Arnault, chairman of luxury goods group LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton and Mr Frere, chairman of Belgian holding company, Groupe Bruxelles Lambert, are near to a deal which will give them equal shares in the vineyard, a joint statement said yesterday.
