The latest venture from Galway entrepreneur Declan Ganley is an interactive website called Adornis.com which he aims to make "the world's greatest jewellery store".

Despite the IDA's promotion of the Republic as the top call-centre location in Europe, Mr Ganley chose Memphis Tennessee for his call centre where the bulk of the 200 Adornis employees will be based. He tells Customer Contact Solutions magazine that Memphis was chosen principally for its proximity to the headquarters of Federal Express, but admits tax incentives also played a part.
