The first mobile phone facility to provide users with wireless access to information on a host of nationwide activities and events in Ireland was introduced yesterday.

Entertainment Ireland (www.entertainmentireland.ie), the online entertainment, events and leisure listings guide will provide the core content for the new service, which will allow customers to browse news, travel, betting and entertainment information in text format on their phones.
