This year's Goodbody Stockbrokers Smaller Companies Review features 37 companies, representing 8.4 per cent of the Irish market. In deciding on its strong buy recommendations for 2001, Goodbody's looked at several company-specific factors.

These included relative valuations assuming shareholders require a 10 per cent return, earnings momentum, and financial flexibility.
