Hibernia Foods, the Nasdaq-listed manufacturer of consumer foods, has reported losses of almost £2.8 million for the half-year to the end of September, compared to losses of £197,000 for the same period last year. The half-year losses this year include a non-recurring charge of £1.5 million. The results statement does not indicate what this charge relates to.
Sales in the six-month period rose from £10.3 million to £23 million, largely due to the impact of the Majestic Foods acquisition which contributed for six months compared to two months last year.
