FOLLOWING hot on the heels of the tilted shamrock, courtesy of Aer Lingus, comes the diminutive shamrock to be used as part of an All Ireland tourism push announced this week and aimed at high spending tourists.

The £30 million Tourism Brand Ireland project will unify the efforts of Bord Failte and the Northern Ireland Tourism Board, as well as tourism industry interests on both sides of the Border. The new tourism Design Works, the Dublin based graphics logo company which won the contract for the All Ireland brand logo, was paid £100,000 for its work. Design Works explained that its logo depicts "two people embracing and exchanging a shamrock".
